Sir Bernard Hogan-Howe said he was hoping to offer reassurance following a number of attacks in France and Germany, but admitted that he was ultimately limited in doing so by the reality of the situation. He pointed out that every occurrence outrageous terrorist attacks, particularly in Europe, will make people worry about the UK may be the next target of attack, he and police colleagues feel and understand people's concerns, but he can not guarantee that no terrorist attack will happen in the UK.
